On Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 11:00pm - 1:00am EST NIHnet engineers will upgrade a Wireless DMZ IDS Sensor in Building 45 to one that provides inline blocking capabilities of Wireless Guest User P2P and IRC traffic.

Impact:
Please note this NIHnet Security Services Building 45 Wireless DMZ IDS To IPS Upgrade Maintenance activity has been assessed with a Possible Service Affecting-Low (PSA-Low) impact. Specifically, Guest Wireless users who are connected during this maintenance window through the Building 45 path will be disconnected, but will be able to immediately reconnect through the redundant Building 12 path. Also, because this maintenance will be conducted late in the evening/early morning, the impact to Guest Wireless users should be limited.
